Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:
Proficient in machining with a strong foundation in basic techniques and principles.
Experienced in operating a machine shop environment with the ability to quickly adapt and contribute.
Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with manual mills or lathes preferred; however, candidates with a strong aptitude for learning are also encouraged to apply.
Expertise in handling various types of threads, including single and multiple, as well as right and left-handed threads, is highly desirable.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high quality standards and minimizing scrap rates.
Strong attention to detail with proven skills in inspection using calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
Proficient in all aspects of metal manipulation, including marking, cutting, and shaping.
Capable of choosing and setting up the appropriate machinery and materials for each job.
Ability to maintain precise tolerances and ensure parts meet specifications according to technical prints.
Willingness to perform routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal machine performance.
