The SOS Glass Technician is responsible for removing and installing, replacing and repairing glass at the repair shops, customer’s residence or place of employment correctly and safely. They must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. They must maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with fellow employees, vendors, customers and insurance adjusters. Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following):
Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
Remove and install all types of glass on any type of vehicle
Keep employee appearance and glass van clean to maintain a professional image
Ability to obey traffic laws
Invoicing for proper work performed
Obtain signatures and payment for the work completed
Communicate with appropriate people if a job cannot be completed or it needs to
be rescheduled
Positive and professional interaction with fellow employees, vendors, customers and Insurance partners
Responsible for own expense report
Maintaining a daily schedule and striving to meet or exceed target times in accordance to customer’s expectations
Immediately notify Service Writer and/or General Manager if any additional damage may have happened
Ability to communicate effectively with the Glass Coordinator
Complete any necessary training
Responsible for checking in parts, returning parts and keeping a correct inventory
