Job Description: Full-Time Diesel/Semi Mechanic with diesel engine and semi-tractor/trailer repair knowledge.
Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday- Saturday
Pay: From $25 per hour
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Familiarity with soldering & welding is a plus but not necessary
Duties (include the following-but not limited to):
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dry van trailers
- Service runs if driver is broken down while out
- Ability to work well with others
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Repair or replace faulty parts, components, or systems
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
