Our small casual dining establishment needs a Taproom Manager to take over the management of our tasting room. The successful candidate will have management experience in either/both Brewpub and Restaurant setting. We're looking for a creative, motivated professional who doesn't mind contributing to service but who won't be afraid to delegate. The job requires approximately 50 hours per week which may include nights some holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Hire, train, motivate and most important: be a leader for out Taproom staff (approx 15)
Create schedules for taproom staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand, but also phasing as necessary to meet labor goals
Develop and enforce opening and closing procedures
Maintains cleanliness standards and overall upkeep or taproom.
Working knowledge of Excel and an ability to check company email regularly
Requirements:
5+ years' hospitality/brewpub experience
2+ years' restaurant management experience
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, but also stays busy when slow
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast speed of service
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry's best practices
Willing to participate in social media and be an ambassador for the brand
