Green Seam Designs is looking for a metal fabricator. GSD is a custom furniture shop based in Bozeman, MT. We are a design and build company specializing in high-end custom wood, metal, and upholstered furniture. Our goal is to build heirloom-quality furniture. To create our custom furniture, Green Seam Designs strives to source as many sustainable, durable, natural, and non-VOC materials and finishes as possible.
Metal fabricator Roles:
Cutting, drilling, welding, grinding, sanding, and finishing all types of metals.
Assembling metal frames/components for wood and upholstered furniture.
Building and finishing solely metal furniture.
Forge work for furniture and architectural details.
Communicating with other departments to ensure details are met.
Lift and maneuver heavy materials and finished furniture.
Manage and track time spent on projects to be on schedule with budget.
Using programs to track time, update inventory, note current project status, and archive completed projects.
Metal fabricator Requirements:
Background in metal fabrication
A deep understanding of Mig, Arc, & Tig welding.
Ability to measure, scribe, and cut.
Ability to use a multitude of tools efficiently and safely.
Able to read 2-D detailed plans and visualize 3-D end products.
Create a detailed cut list(s) from plans.
Constructing base templates for better accuracy and repeatable products.
A desire to learn new skills and techniques.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Creative, motivated, and innovative mind-set.
Blacksmithing experience is a plus.
Wood and upholstered furniture building knowledge & experience is a plus.
A clean driving record and current drivers license
