Deep Tissue Massage Group is the premier sports and clinical massage facility in Missoula. We are located in growing west end of town, close to downtown Missoula, and we aim to hire the top 5% of massage therapists or those who anticipate being in the top 5% soon. Our clientele are highly proactive on their health regime and seek to find the best bodyworkers available, as they are athletes, people experiencing chronic pain, desk workers, and medical referrals. Deep Tissue Massage Group is where they find the best.

OUR STORY:
I am a licensed massage therapist for over 20 years and founder of a therapeutic massage center here in Missoula. I started Deep Tissue Massage Group about 5 years ago, and we are happy to see and hear from our clients the unbounded amount of requests and referrals because of how deeply knowledgeable and caring our massage therapists are. I have been fortunate to work with some of the most skilled and caring health care providers and clients imaginable. I did this with hard work and commitment to my clients and being present with their care. We are all passionate and love what we do. We are a very close group of LMT's (including myself) that care a lot about each other and our client relationships. These very experienced massage therapists are employees that work closely with respect for each other's different skills. What we have created is a very different center where the main focus is therapeutic massage, and being owned by a massage therapist makes the difference. I care deeply about everyone that works within our group.
I am looking for a very thoughtful and skilled licensed massage therapist with lots of people skills that can truly get along with others.
LONG TERM POSITION FOR A PERSON MATCHING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
You must be a DEEP tissue/DEEP PRESSURE therapist by nature that can also adapt to people who cannot receive this kind of work.
You would rather have someone else paying for all overhead costs, without all the stress of paying and doing taxes, book keeping, marketing/websites, supplies, being responsible for rent and building maintenance, laundry and all that comes with owning your own business. Yet, be able to have your own freedom of style and expression as a therapist.
Desire and talent to do transformative bodywork in a group setting. That means there is paperwork/soap note charting and entering some client info for online booking and insurance communication.
You are a communicator who collaborates well with others and cares about results.
The type of person that is hardworking, honest, loyal, and can handle the physical demands of deep tissue and deep pressure work.
You have a smart phone and are able to text and communicate to us in a reasonable amount of time.
Feel comfortable in a group practice sharing clients with other practitioners
Open to learning new techniques in bodywork and client care, even if you have practiced massage for many years. Can check your ego at the door and be open to feedback from the clients and people in leadership roles.
Your Future:
Your supervisors will help you map the development of your career at Deep Tissue Massage Group, discuss clients and ensure professional development
You will continuously be encouraged to grow as a therapist, and will receive support from your colleagues along the way.
Requirements:
1. High Level Clinical Therapist You are an advanced practitioner in a modality such as:
Orthopedic massage
Trigger point
Active release technique (ART) Soft tissue release
Active isolated stretching Structural integration
Manual therapy
Sports massage etc.
2. Minimum of 1,000 professional massages outside of School Clinic Hours
3. Knowledge of how to stretch most every muscle in the body and ability to teach clients
4. Strong experience forming treatment plans for clients
5. Success in treating injuries like frozen shoulder, neuropathy, and high level injuries like severely pulled hamstring or post shoulder surgery rehab, major lower back dysfunctions, etc
6. Good understanding of successful rebooking practices
7. Experience referring to other professionals like Personal Trainers, Pilates Instructors, Physical Therapists for strengthening and training muscles
8. Positive energy to add to our work environment and help to bring clients into the studio
9. Must be available for at least 4 shifts (4-5 sessions per shift), at least every other Saturday is a must.

SUPPORT STAFF- We have a wonderful front desk/office manager, who our massage therapists and clients love. She helps with scheduling, taking care of office needs, and provides overall
LAUNDRY SERVICE- More time to write a good SOAP note and do a great massage. Taking time with patients is more important than your laundry services.
YOUR SCHEDULE:
You would be considered our main "float or cover therapist" to give you more flexibility. This means you can have a typical schedule but whenever our massage therapists is away, you can move one of your weekend days or another day you want to swap.
Shifts will be on an on call basis. We are ultimately looking for 4 full days or some other combination like 3 full days and 2 half days. That leaves 2-3 days off unless you want more work. We have 3 massage rooms at our center.
Plan ahead and take off when you need to go for important events, vacations etc. I am into quality of life and having truly healthy therapists. We are an innovative group and were doing something different here in Missoula. This is nothing like a spa or typical Chiropractors/Dr's office setting. You get to be yourself while helping people with your own style and personal touch.

Once you're an established therapist at our center you will be honored and paid well based on commitment and ability to work the shifts needed. If you are the right person I can work out a schedule that fits both of our needs. As a massage therapist I will treat you as I would want to be treated.
