Company Hiring Parameters-

Hours of Operation: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm, 1 hour off for lunch, Saturdays, 8:00am-12:00pm, work every other Saturday.

Pay Period: Bi-weekly, every other Monday.

Pay Basis: $18-24/hour

Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years’ Day. Normally granted after probationary period.

Personal Time: 4 hours/month-accumulated. Personal time may not be carried over after the end of the year. Granted after probationary period.

Vacation: 40 hours first year, 80 Hours after first year anniversary. Vacation is prorated to the end of the year based on hire date. Vacation not used by the end of the year will be paid out to the employee and not carried over. Granted after probationary period.

Uniforms: Shirts supplied by employer.

Insurance: Health insurance premium paid 50% by employer for employee, spouse and family. Dental insurance premium paid 50% by employer for employee, spouse and family, (premium paid only if employee chooses health insurance from company). Vision insurance available, premiums not supplemented by employer. $15,000.00 life insurance policy paid by employer.

Employee Requirements-

Valid Driver’s License.

Lift 50 lbs unassisted.

Service repair experience of 2-4 years in agriculture.

Excellent computer skills.

Work well with minimal supervision.

Good personal health with ongoing efforts to maintain it.

Excellent attendance habits.

Prioritize tasks and follow procedures.

All personal tools to work efficiently.

Good communication and public speaking skills are required to speak with customers.

Travel may be necessary.

Required supply of employee owned shop tools.

Position Responsibilities-

Record details of repairs made and parts used.

Maintain repair or maintenance records.

Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and adjusting as necessary.

Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.

Repair defective engines or engine components.

Service vehicle to maintain functionality.

Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.

Read work orders or descriptions of problems to determine repairs or modifications needed.

Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.

Confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.

Dismantle defective machines for repair or maintenance.

Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.

Replace or repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.

Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.

Adjust vehicle components according to specifications.

Tune and overhaul engines.

Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery.

Calculate bills according to record of repairs made, labor time, and parts used.

Install and repair agricultural irrigation equipment.

Repair bent or torn sheet metal.

Repair structural components.

Attend applicable training events/seminars.
