Description We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our clients team in Lincoln, Nebraska. In this role, you will oversee the implementation and adherence to the hospitals and foundation financial policies, while also handling administrative responsibilities for the Accounting, Treasury, and Decision Support Services departments. This role also involves strategic partnership with all organizational leadership to develop and assist with implementing a financial analysis process.Responsibilities: Oversee the implementation of the Hospitals and Foundation financial policies, including the education of all staff as appropriate Monitor adherence to the Hospitals and Foundation financial policies Supervise and manage daily operations for all Accounting and Finance staff and leadership personnel Assist the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in treasury functions through monitoring of all investment activity Develop and assist with implementing a financial analysis process that allows for timely and strategic decision-making Establish a plan of control through annual budget, including relevant financial performance metrics for all departments Lead the annual audit by an outside audit firm, including maintaining a close working relationship, supervision of the preparation of the audit schedules, and assistance in the selection of the firm Compile, coordinate, and analyze facility-wide data to ensure financial viability of the facility Synthesize self-insured employee health insurance coverage financial needs Monitor and inform the CFO of Medicare and Medicaid regulation changes and identify their effect on the facility Oversee preparation of all Federal and State required reports for the organization and its related corporations, including tax returns, sales tax reports, W2 preparation and distribution Analyze and coordinate all cash functions of the organization, including cash management, cash receipts, payments to vendors, cash flow reports, investments, petty cash and resident account maintenance.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience as a financial director or similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred Familiarity with BlackLine, EPS and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is advantageous Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary Auditing skills are essential for this role Must have experience with Balance Sheet Account and Budget Processes Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting is preferred Experience in the HealthCare Industry is an advantage Must be able to handle Month End Close tasks effectively Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong analytical, strategic planning and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required Advanced degree or professional certification such as a CPA or CFA is preferred.
