We are seeking cooks for the upcoming Nebraska Cornhuskers home games.

Responsibilities:
Prepare food to specifications before and during the event.
Properly measure and portion all food items, complying with portion sizes, quality standards, and policies.
Utilize kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.
Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly to uphold freshness and quality.
Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
Follow and uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations.
Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheets.
Complete end-of-day inventory and other opening/closing duties in accordance with checklists and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 6 months of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food service position.
Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
Basic math skills, including the ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
Available leading up to and during the event.
Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip, etc. a variety of foods and liquids.
Ability to lift and carry large pans weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to handle and operate all kitchen equipment safely.
Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift.
Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at the waist, bend, and squat.
Occasional pushing and pulling to move equipment, mops, and brooms.
Work in a kitchen environment with moderate-to-high noise levels.
Frequently work in a hot and damp environment.
