K2 Construction in Lincoln, NE is looking for motivated individuals to join our team. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Traffic Control/Runner with a clean driving record. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm. Candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment.
Work with Purchasing Agent/Shop Manager to retrieve parts and materials as needed from vendors. Company vehicle will be provided during working hours, however candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Required to operate pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driverâs license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to standards.
Runner- Move and Deliver small tools, equipment, and materials to job sites as needed.
During snow removal operations you will be required to assist in selling our ice melt products to the general public. You must have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed
