The University of Michigan Survey Research Center (SRC) is an international leader in social science research involving the collection and analysis of data, especially data from scientific sample surveys. SRC conducts some of the most widely cited and influential studies in the world.

The U-M SRC has temporary employment opportunities available in the Omaha, NE area to work as Field Interviewers. The Baby's First Years study will draw on a sample of approximately 1000 newborn infants and their mothers.

Requirements:

• Live in or near Omaha, NE

• Attend a 5-day in-person training in early January, 2019.

• Work up to 20 hours per week.

• Variable schedule, generally working 6 hour blocks of time between 9am and 8pm, weekdays and weekends.

• Able to conduct face-to-face interviews in hospitals with moms immediately after giving birth (24-48 hours) using a laptop computer.

• Able to pass all background checks and adhere to medical facility requirements for employment in a healthcare setting (e.g. flu shot, TB test, etc.).

Desired qualifications:

• Social Science Research Data Collection Experience

• Experience working or volunteering in hospitals or health care facilities
