At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.ResponsibilitiesAs a Department Support Assistant, you’ll do a little bit of everything, assisting in the office side of the healthcare field. You’ll support a dedicated facility or department, helping patients by directing them to the proper location of facilitating their communication. A great attitude and can-do spirit is a must for this high visibility position!Some of what you’ll do:
Perform all receptionist activities, including directing guests and employees appropriately
Operate a multi-line switchboard and connect calls, as well as schedule conference rooms and coordinate A/V systems
Manage access privileges by maintaining sign on sheets and visitor badges, as well as following facility security procedures
Distribute communication and compile/deliver standard business reports or correspondence
Use computer skills to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
Prioritize customer service first, and organize other work around interactions
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation/Licensure:High School Diploma or GED is required.Pay Range$14.78 - $20.33 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
