Plan, execute, and oversee renewable energy projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Lead the team to achieve milestones within the agreed timelines and budgets.

Proactively manage project risks, solving complex challenges with creative and sustainable solutions.

Serve as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company quality standards.

Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Overland Park, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, Omaha, or Lincoln office locations.QualificationsYou are passionate about:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on renewable energy projects.

Experience in environmental planning and permitting.

Knowledge of utility scale renewable energy development

Knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations such as Endangered Species Act, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, floodplain permitting, etc.

  • The Senior Renewable Energy Specialist will be a subject matter expert on alternative and renewable energy sources for OPPD. This role will contribute to the Renewable Energy Resources team with exploration, analysis, and application of emerging technologies, including renewable energy. This position will balance a technical understanding of the renewable energy landscape and emerging technologies with the ability to communicate conceptual solutions to project teams, management, and customers of both technical and non-technical backgrounds. This role will lead the organization and coordination of renewable energy data from vendors, industry experts, and OPPD facility operations. Additionally, the Senior role will support the growth and development of other technical experts at OPPD.
