About the Role:Group Underwriting assesses financial risks related to LFG insurance products, determines the price at which LFG will accept the risks related to those insurance products, alters coverage plans or levels based upon risk and pricing, and binds LFG in transactions for those insurance products. Underwriters determine whether to accept or reject a risk based upon analysis of information regarding the customer/potential customer.Minimum core responsibilities:
Ability to work 15-20 hours/week, part-time flexible schedule.
Attend a mix of formal and on-the-job training opportunities to learn more about key Underwriting concepts.
Provides timely and high-quality work in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Strong customer service skills via phone and email.
Communicates effectively with internal/external stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
Applies time management skills to prioritize deadlines appropriately.
Works well independently but also has strong skills working in a team environment.
Ability to hit minimum metric goal on productivity while maintaining high quality audit score
Build business and professional skills that will prepare you for leadership positions.

College sophomore, junior, or senior
A minimum GPA of 3.0
Proficient in Excel
Demonstrated leadership potential

Ability to deal with change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
