The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • 2 + years of managerial and/or supervisory experience including staffing and performance management responsibilities
  • Must be familiar with a variety of project management concepts, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of applicable business analysis processes and principles
  • Ability to maintain high quality work while meeting strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms, interact with users in non-technical, clear terms, assist staff with difficult technical tasks, work independently and as a team member, set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work; and adapt to changes in technology
  • Must have integrity, a strong sense of accountability, and highly developed persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of affected business applications/software


Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small team of Business Intelligence/Business Analysts (Reporting or Production), Database Administrator(s), and Software Developer(s)
  • Oversee general information system administration, maintenance, and support, on-time execution of support and enhancement requests, system upgrades while maintaining focus and consistent communications
  • Guide the selection and implementation of IT and business solutions to meet the business user requirements
  • Assist in defining solution road-maps for end-to-end business process/system flows
  • Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
  • Work closely with management to insure technical compatibility and integration where needed
  • Act as Project Management Lead by gathering requirements, scheduling, enforcing deadlines, regular status reporting, researching & resolving issues, and monitoring project team progress and performance
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including project team structure and resource alignment, managing daily activities, regular communication, and ensuring quality, SDLC, and compliance requirements are adhered to
  • Provide leadership and guides 3rd party consultants (subcontractors) throughout the system development lifecycle to insure quality and conformance to standard IT SDLC best practices
  • Identifies areas of improvement and leads critical path decisions to drive solutions ensuring they are on time, on budget and to appropriate quality standards
  • Manage the expectations of the customers, balancing their business needs with support, training, and education as appropriate
  • Communicate any issues, problems or concerns regarding CMS data, systems, reports and/or client-related issues to management effectively, accurately and timely
  • Accepts input from management and appropriately and accurately applies instructions/feedback
  • Develop internal and external meeting objectives and agendas
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving situations, uses reason when dealing with emotional topics
  • Displays willingness to make timely decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making process
