 HOURS: Second shift, Monday-Friday 2:30-11:30pm. Flexibility to work additional hours as business needs require.PEOPLE LEADERSHIP: Lead second-shift operations across the Flexographic Press, Offset Press, and Finishing departments. Set clear expectations, coach and train employees, and hold the team accountable for performance, attendance, safety, quality, and conduct. Conduct quarterly conversations and annual reviews, recognize strong performance, and handle difficult conversations, investigations, and corrective action with HR support.OVERSEE PRODUCTION: Coordinate staffing and priorities to keep jobs on schedule, and monitor productivity, downtime, and waste. Perform quality checks and press approvals to make sure jobs meet customer specifications and Epsen Hillmer's standards. Resolve production and quality issues quickly, identify recurring problems, escalate when more support is needed, and hand off clearly to first-shift leaders.PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Apply Lean, 5S, and Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) to reduce waste, downtime, and rework. Review safety, quality, production, and waste with employees during daily check-ins, assign follow-up on obstacles, and encourage employee ideas. Enforce all safety policies, PPE use, and equipment safety procedures, and document injuries, incidents, and quality concerns.
