OverviewCHI HEALTH IMMANUEL - ACUTE CARESchedule Requirements: 2 weekend shifts per month (Sat or Sun) and 2 holidays per yearCompensation: $30.00/hr with time and a half pay for holidaysAs a Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll play a vital role in transforming patient care, working closely with a licensed physical therapist to bring our patients closer to achieving their recovery goals. You'll not only help implement personalized treatment plans but also communicate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. With a keen eye for organization, you'll efficiently manage your workday to ensure top-tier care, all while maintaining a deep commitment to patient safety and quality. This position demands a thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, and professional standards governing physical therapy services, as you help pave the way for better outcomes and stronger communities.Responsibilities

Collaborate with the licensed physical therapist to conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, deliver treatment, and provide education, all in alignment with state and professional practice standards.

Work closely within a team to create and implement coordinated care plans, ensuring accountability and progress toward achieving patient goals.

Maintain proficiency in documentation and billing, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.

Demonstrate expertise in applying quality metrics to evaluate and improve practice, regularly participating in team meetings to discuss program effectiveness and performance enhancements.

Provide guidance and oversight to physical therapy technicians, ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Commit to staying informed on the latest evidence-based practices and research, offering professional insights and support to colleagues in the field.

Support the organization’s academic mission by supervising student clinical education, under the guidance of the physical therapist.

Complete all mandatory training in patient safety, quality, security, and infection control within the designated timeframes, consistently demonstrating a high level of competence in daily duties.
