Senior Engineer - Municipal

Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand.Prepare engineering documents, including design reports, cost estimates, project schedules, etc. in accordance with the latest governing codes.Effectively manage budgets, schedules, and timely completion of projects.Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, client meetings, and preconstruction meetings.Lead and mentor other civil engineers assigned to projects.

  • This position performs all technical and economic analyses necessary to determine feasible, reliable, and economical expansion plans for the District\'s bulk power delivery infrastructure. (Hereafter the District\'s bulk power delivery infrastructure with facilities operating at voltages above 34,000 volts is referred to as the \"transmission system.\") Develops knowledge through experience, research, and performing studies in order to become a more capable transmission planning engineer. Ensure compliance with NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) and MRO / SPP (Midwest Reliability Organization / Southwest Power Pool) Planning and Operating Standards. Supports internal and external customers in a technical advisory capacity. Supports operations, engineering, and construction departments with technical advice and scheduling assistance. Participates on local, sub regional and regional transmission committees. Supports creation of a fully-updated computer model of the transmission system every year. Supports efforts of Economic Development personnel and Key Account Executives to provide outstanding customer service.
