WHAT YOULL DO:


  • Uses models as a starting point for designing and developing technologies across multiple teams that enable new, or enhance existing, business capabilities

  • Gain knowledge of various development approaches and assisting with the design of ground-up projects and enhancements

  • Understand the technical vision for the supported segment, domain or technology and guides others

  • Use patterns and leverage modern frameworks to build, maintain, and implement our solutions

  • Leads in software development lifecycle and DevOps practices

  • Learn quickly when facing new problems, be open to change

  • Experiment and try anything to find solutions

  • Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks while being an individual contributor, leader and mentor of others

  • Expertise on how multiple technologies and applications support business partner / Mutual of Omahas business strategy

  • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Evaluate options and the performance tradeoffs / benefits

  • Focus on accuracy and quality, while continuing to deliver code

ABOUT YOU:


  • Professionally solved challenges for complex enterprise applications, engineering and implementing successfully over the last five or more years with:

    • AWS Architecture, CI/CD, Java, Spring / Spring Boot, JavaScript (ReactJS / VueJS), SQL, APIs, Web Services, Microservices and integration.



  • Develops unit tests and uses version control

  • Leader in the Agile mindset and iterative development process

  • Set best practices in coding quality standards

  • Steers productive team communication and collaboration on problem solving

  • Drives team success by multi-tasking and adapting to priority changes

  • Experiments with emerging technologies to understand how they will impact what comes next

  • Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, a related degree or equivalent work experience

  • You:

    • Help promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the department and the larger organization

  • You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet
