CSS Staffing, based in Omaha, NE, has an immediate opening for a local client for a Sr. Android mobile Engineer. Searching for highly innovative, enthusiastic and results-driven engineer to utilize Kotlin to develop advanced mobile applications. Work with a collaborative team of individuals where your ideas count. Full-time, Direct hire.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years Information Technology
  • 5+ years software engineering, preferably in mobile development
  • Android App Development experience in Java and/or Kotlin
  • Experience using Git
  • Experience writing Unit and/or UI tests for Android applications
  • A passion for software engineering and development and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage time effectively
  • Proven written and oral communication skills

Desired:
  • Experience using Rx in Android applications
  • Experience with CI tools like Jenkins and Travis
  • iOS App Development experience

Core Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with UX/UI Designer to design and develop clean and intuitive UI components
  • Work with our server team to develop REST APIs to help implement or improve features
  • Work in an agile team environment, collaborating with all team members to produce high quality user interfaces
  • Be proactive in finding and solving problems before they arise

Provide direction and guidance on implementation of new features
  • Collaborate with product development team to plan new features and participate in planning and scoping meetings for future projects
  • Clarify requirements with product owners and work to build consensus with other developers on technical implementation details of a feature
  • Foster consistent and clear lines of communication with other development teams throughout development and implementation of new features
  • Collaborate with clients to understand, implement and support client unique requirements

Work cross functionally to resolve complex customer problems
  • Active participant in client facing meetings providing education, expertise and support on NCR client product and mobile technologies
  • Documentation of all aspects of the work from requirements to use guides
  • Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities
  • Train, develop and coach other engineers
  • Perform code reviews
