Heavy Equipment and Shop/Field Mechanic
As a Heavy Equipment and Shop/Field Mechanic, your primary responsibility will be assisting our current shop staff in diagnostics, repairs and modification on pickup trucks, heavy construction equipment, semi-trucks and trailers. This position will maintain all company vehicles and equipment for TAB Construction.
Other Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical problems with engines, drive trains, hydraulics, electrical and environmental systems
Light fabrication that may require torch and welding experience
Oil changes, filter changes, brakes, lights, etc. to ensure that equipment is safe and operable
May involve operating a service truck and performing field maintenance
Maintain accurate records for work and repairs completed, such as scheduled maintenance
Communicate with other employees on the necessary repairs/maintenance need
Ordering parts, stock fluids and other materials
Follow the safety practices of the company identified through the established company safety program
Practice good housekeeping
Qualifications
Valid Drivers License
o Class B- CDL w/ Air Brake Endorsement Preferred but not required
Standard owned hand tools required; specialty tools are provided by company.
