Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Handle, transport and cradle material for production
Record information as necessary to ensure efficient tracking of inventory
Load coils onto press de-coilers and straighteners
Band and un-band coils safely
Efficiently manage time and workload during the work day
Recognize when others need assistance, then safely and efficiently perform any task which will enhance the effectiveness of AmesburyTruth and its employees
Be aware of and follow company work policies
Be aware of and comply with all safety requirements
Adhere to work instructions and procedures
Participate in lean/continuous improvement activities as necessary
Adhere to standard communication methods
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to operate scan guns, label printers and related equipment
Perform basic math skills
Possess the ability to accurately read scales
Safely perform light to moderate lifting
Organize and prioritize instructions from foreman to successfully complete day-to-day tasks
Perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others
Consistently retain and build on knowledge gained to continually improve performance
Qualifications / Prior Experience
Prior production experience preferred
Ability to be certified on and safely operate a fork lift
Work Environment / Other Requirements
Climate controlled
99% indoor; 1% outdoor
