We are seeking a skilled Boat Mechanic to join our Woodcliff Marina team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of boats. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Perform repairs and maintenance on boats including winterizing and summerizing.
Test and troubleshoot systems, including engines, electrical, and steering.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
Document inspections, tests, and repairs.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to mechanics.
Storing/retrieving boats in storage, ability to pull boats on trailers. Remove and install boat canopies.
Experience
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a Boat Mechanic.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
Experience using power tools safely and effectively.
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
Experience using a bobcat a plus.
