Cable/Telco Install and Repair Technician- Installation Technicians
Experienced Copper/DSL/POTS a must.
I&R Technicians perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POTS & DSL (HSI high-speed internet). Maintaining and repairing outside copper plant facilities within assigned geographic service areas is also included.
MUST HAVE: (Requirements)
Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack
Must NOT be afraid of heights, we work up in the air on a 28-foot ladder.On day 1 the Candidate must have, Truck/Van w/ladder rack, safety boots, android cell phone 12.0 or higher (cell phone does NOT have to have cell service. If the tech has an iPhone they can Bluetooth to android, it is only for running apps. It is beneficial to techs to have 2 phones but only 1 needs service.
Experienced Copper/DSL/POTS a must
Android smart phone is also a requirement. Laptop may be required
We provide a tool list that the technician picks out anything they will provide, the rest of the tool needs can be discussed with the hiring manager and provided on day 1 of training
Technician must have some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. (Other PPE will be provided by local management.)
Hours are First Shift 8AM to 4:30 PM and techs must be available during that time, there is no signing out when assigned work is completed. If they want to pick up work, they can.
Weekend work is Seasonal and only when requested by Client, if a tech must work a Saturday, they are given the choice of taking Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday off if they want or can work all 6 days
Up to 2 weeks training - 2 days equipment set up & ladder training and the rest in the field riding along with an experienced technician.
Avg Earning $600 - $1500 during the winter
NOTE: FULLY QUALIFIED COPPER TECHNICIAN Will be provided all tools on the list that they do not already have. (List will be provided). We CAN provide a HST 3000 COPPER meter that Technician will sign a letter of agreement to maintain.
Responsibilities:
Perform copper installation
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Assist other Technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.
Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers.
