Papillion Center - Shop Associate

Summary: OPPD is seeking a Shop Associate who will perform duties in support of the operation of the Energy Delivery Service Center Shop. Incumbent will deliver materials and equipment to work sites and service centers to support crews in the field and service centers. Responsibilities:

Assist Service Center in activities including assisting line crews with job-site activities, cleaning of job sites, deliveries to job sites and other Service Centers, transferring vehicles, tools and equipment, general facility and grounds housekeeping.

Assist with inventory management; shipping, receiving, and stocking of materials as required.

Educate periodic users on operation and daily maintenance of the hydro-excavator.

Assists the Service Center Shop Crew Leader with the following:

¿ Cycling rubber good, general recycling efforts

¿ Sharpening chains, building outrigger pads, refurbishing layout arms, and other tool upkeep as assigned

¿ Assist with periodically scheduled testing of grounds, fire extinguishers, hot sticks, and other assigned testing.

¿ Cover absences at other Service Centers as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license.

Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Desired:

Experience in warehouse and inventory control.

Basic knowledge of the operation of a Service Center Shop.

Previous work experience in a shop.

Knowledge of bore rigs.

Knowledge of the tools and equipment used in conducting basic construction and dirt excavation.

Prior experience loading and transporting equipment such as excavators, trenchers, skid loaders, and backhoes.
