Work location is subject to change based on business needs.Summary of the Job:The Director, Technology acts as a technical lead for specific technology disciplines. This role is accountable for high level liaison work between technology and business units, and must work to resolve dependencies.About This Role:Generative AI LeaderA position that involves developing, implementing, and managing Generative AI solutions across the bank's platformsOverviewGenerative AI is a branch of artificial intelligence that can create novel and realistic content, such as text, images, audio, and video, based on data and models. It has the potential to transform various domains and industries, such as finance, marketing, entertainment, education, and healthcare. However, it also poses significant challenges and risks, such as ethical, legal, and social implications, data quality and security, model robustness and reliability, and user trust and acceptance.The bank is looking for a leader who can support the build out of Generative AI solutions across its platforms, in collaboration with business users, data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders. The leader will be responsible for maturing and implementing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Generative AI at the bank, as well as overseeing the governance framework, risk management, employee training, and communication. The leader will also ensure that the Generative AI solutions are aligned with the bank's values, goals, and standards, and that they adhere to the best practices and regulations in the industry.Responsibilities

Establish and maintain the Generative AI governance framework in partnership with Compliance and Information Security, including the policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for the development, deployment, and use of Generative AI solutions.

Monitor and manage the risks and impacts of Generative AI solutions, such as data privacy, model bias, content authenticity, and user trust, and implement the appropriate mitigation and remediation measures.

Train and educate the employees and stakeholders on the benefits, capabilities, and limitations of Generative AI, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Communicate and report the progress, results, and challenges of Generative AI initiatives to the senior management and relevant parties and solicit their feedback and support.

Lead and manage a cross functional Generative AI team, consisting of data scientists, engineers, analysts, and provide them with guidance, feedback, and support.

Refine and execute the Generative AI strategy and roadmap for the bank, in alignment with the business objectives and priorities.

Identify and evaluate the opportunities and use cases for Generative AI across the bank's platforms and domains, facilitate build out of business cases and track outcomes to expectations.

Oversee implementation and deployment of Generative AI solutions, ensuring their scalability, performance, quality, and security, and integrating them with the existing data and IT infrastructure.

Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and best practices in Generative AI, and benchmark the bank's performance and maturity against the industry standards.

Qualifications (required)

A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing data and software engineering teams, preferably in the banking or financial sector.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate complex and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive and execute the Generative AI vision and roadmap.

Expertise and hands-on experience in Generative AI techniques and tools.

High ethical standards and integrity, and the ability to ensure the responsible and ethical use of Generative AI solutions.

Qualifications (preferred)

10 years of experience in leading and managing data and software engineering teams, preferably in the banking or financial sector.

Knowledge and experience with MLOps and DevOps practices

Technical proficiency in Cloud and software development

Strong knowledge and understanding of the business domains and processes of the bank, and the ability to translate the business needs and problems into Generative AI solutions.
