Position SummaryThe Maintenance Assistant is responsible for helping maintain the facility, grounds, and equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This position assists with general repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance to ensure a comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on facility equipment and groundsAssist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical maintenance tasksMaintain outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, sweeping, and snow removal as neededReplace light bulbs and assist with general facility upkeepFollow maintenance schedules and complete assigned work ordersEnsure work areas remain clean, organized, and safeReport unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment malfunctions promptlyFollow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and fire safety proceduresAssist with moving equipment and supplies when neededPerforms other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and/or Administrator
