Job DescriptionThe Oracle Life Sciences Global Business Unit (LSGBU) is focused on delivering software solutions to help the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies positively impact people’s lives by supporting the cost-effective development of treatments for today’s most challenging health related issues.As a member of the LSGBU DevOps team you will design, create and maintain components and services used to support a large zero-downtime enterprise-class software platform. This role presents a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the full-stack software development process - from requirements planning to coding/testing all the way through cloud deployment and monitoring.A successful candidate will be a strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines. The candidate should be self-directed and have experience and knowledge of software design, coding, and testing methodologies.Responsibilities
Plan, design, code and maintain full-stack (front end and back end) solutions used to support a large multi-namespace distributed cloud native web application.
Work as part of a team to foster engineering excellence while participating in design, code and system-level reviews.
Create unit tests and review test plans created by QA.
Troubleshoot complicated issues that span multiple modules, including service bugs and deployment issues.
Collaborate with other dev, test, support, and networking teams to implement new cross-service feature and deployment requests.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes.
