The registered nurse employs critical thinking to integrate objective data with knowledge gained from an assessment of the subjective experiences of patients.
Registered nurses use this critical thinking process to apply the best available evidence and research data to the processes of diagnosis and treatment.
Nurses continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and seek to optimize outcomes.
This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
#RN@DHQualificationsMinimum:
One (1) full year experience as a PACU nurse in an acute care facility providing care to the Adult and Pediatric population.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Ability to work in a high stress environment and make critical thinking decisions urgently.
Basic computer skills.
RN - Registered Nurse license from the State of NV Nursing Board.
CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA
CT CPRPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – AHA
CT CPRACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support – AHA
NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC- Nat'l - Training upon hire/transfer.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred:
Two (2) years PACU experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
ASPAN CCRN and/or Trauma certification.
