We are a family owned & operated commercial real estate development company with over 30 years in business seeking an experienced, full-time Bookkeeper Assistant to join the team long term. The candidate in this position would be responsible for assisting with day-to-day office operations, administrative tasks, and accurately oversee the accounting duties for numerous companies along side the office controller, among other tasks.

We're seeking an individual with the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, preferred.
Certified Bookkeeper designation, preferred.
5+ years of supervisory/managerial experience.
7+ years experience in a bookkeeping role.
Advanced accounting and bookkeeping software experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Experience and strong understanding of financial statements and tax returns.
Experience in real estate/property management, preferred.
Notary Public, preferred (willing to obtain, if not)
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
The individual hired for this position would have the following responsibilities, among others:
Full cycle accounting duties
Handle accounts receivables/accounts payables, bank reconciliations, accruals, collections, etc. for multiple entities simultaneously.
Code and enter vender expense invoices.
Process accounts receivables and invoice clients/customers.
Prepare bank deposits.
Ensure accuracy in general ledgers.
Process employee time sheets and payroll.
Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns.
Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and reports, as well as reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Audit sales tax and worker's comp forms.
Ensuring compliance with financial management and accounting regulations.
Analyzing and interpreting balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and liabilities.
Experience in construction accounting, processing lien releases, etc. preferred.
Overseeing escrow timelines and scheduling payments of new transactions.
Performing internal accounting audits.
Working alongside & collaborating with the office staff.
Work alongside property management department to ensure reconciliations and financial reports are accurate.
