Reading Quest, a local non-profit, provides professional support for children who need help with reading. During the school year in West Las Vegas, we tutor on Mondays during the school day. Our work is all in-person, with the exception of staff meetings and trainings on Zoom. We are seeking a tutor to work in a schoolsin West Las Vegas, New Mexico and substitute tutor in Santa Fe.
We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who has experience working with children in elementary school and enjoys teaching them how to read using explicit structured literacy, phonics and reading games aligned with the science of reading. We provide extensive training and on-going support for all of our Reading Specialists. The training for this position could begin right away. Pay begins at $25/hour to $30/hour depending on experience and increases to $35-$40/hour over time.
Our team is incredibly supportive and kind and we love our work and the students we support. If you live outside of West Las Vegas, we will also pay for gas and travel time.
