Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Designer to join our fabrication team that thrives in a fast-paced working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, with expertise in AutoCAD software to create detailed and accurate technical drawings for fabrication projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to develop detailed technical drawings and plans.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Interpret design specifications, blueprints, and sketches to produce accurate and precise drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a drawing library and database.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of drafts and revisions.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of fabrication processes and materials to ensure practical and effective designs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Designer, preferably in a fabrication or millwork environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software; experience with other CAD programs is a plus.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensions, and tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials is necessary.
