Job Summary:The Alumni Manager is responsible for the growth, management, and execution of the respective region or facility(s) American Addiction Centers alumni initiatives. He/she oversees the alumni program and services at the respective treatment locations, and develops new strategies to support long-term recovery among our alumni, and to encourage referrals, assist in lead nurturing, and garner positive word-of-mouth and press. The Alumni Manager leverages performance data to inform alumni strategies, and works cross-departmentally with other marketing verticals (PR, Social Media, Market Research, Reputation Management, Development, PPMO, Design, Video Production, and Content) as well as other AAC corporate departments (Admissions, Call Center, Business Development, Billing, Legal, Compliance, and Training) and AAC facilities to execute on high-impact initiatives to support as many individuals as possible. The Alumni Manager has strong leadership skills, is highly communicative and has the ability to translate ideas to business-focused initiatives that are seen through to execution. He/she is able to work with teams remotely, and has experience working in the addiction treatment space, particularly in supporting individuals through their recovery journey. He/she is dynamic, engaged, and is a team player who is passionate about recovery and about helping people grow and develop.Reports To: CEOJob Duties:

Develop and execute strategies cross-departmentally that drive referrals, new leads, and readmissions.

Communicate with admission team, call center and business development teams to promote the use of alumni assists, ensuring requests are handled swiftly, accurately, and compliantly.

Develop and execute strategies to generate client feedback and reviews, contributing to AAC’s online reputation and carving out opportunities for press and media exposure.

Liaise between alumni coordinators, other corporate teams, and vendors to ensure event collateral, swag, and promotions are delivered and distributed in a timely manner, including the alumni website.

Work with Business Development to build and grow family and alumni groups across the country, particularly in areas without AAC treatment facilities.

Build and maintain effective, clear, and healthy communication between AAC’s alumni team and other corporate teams, including admissions, billing, business development, IT, call center, and facilities.

Provide training support to new treatment consultants, and quarterly refresher trainings to existing treatment consultant teams.

Manage and grow the alumni program and services via weekly team meetings, individual weekly 1-on-1s, and regular KPI reports to supervisor.

Provide alumni perspectives and alumni participants to PR, video, social media, market research, or other marketing team initiatives.

Manage, develop, and grow alumni coordinator team.

Increase alumni engagement, particularly with regard to lead generation, alumni assists, and reputation management.

Develop and execute alumni-centered strategies to build brand credibility, encourage more individuals to seek treatment, and promote long-term recovery.

Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports.

Preparation and presentation of performance evaluations.

Provides objective feedback to employees.

Makes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicable.

Provides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required training.

Holds interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriately selects candidates to fill open positions.

Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget.

Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices.

Creates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies.

Adhere to department outreach and admission goals set by our leadership at respective facility or region.

Outreach: Make outbound and take inbound calls, text, emails, post, reviews and visits.

Events: schedule, prepare & execute alumni and community events to promote our brand & raise awareness, and keeping alumni engaged.

Recovery support: co facilitate groups, engage, guide & assist in the recovery process.

Work with the marketing team regarding the reviews via online, admissions to ensure re-admission or referral process is set to help alumni, clinical for engagement for co facilitating group and case management for to ensure we are capturing accurate contact data discharge.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent in work experience.

4-5 years professional experience in healthcare or marketing; professional experience in the addiction industry, particularly working with those in recovery is highly preferred.

Thorough understanding of addiction, recovery, and interpersonal support systems;

Expert communicator, with the ability to manage and work with teams across the country;

Business-minded, with the ability to translate big picture ideas and objectives into actionable projects with maximum impact;

Familiarity with Salesforce, EHRs, and call handling software;

Proven leadership expertise, with a stellar track record for developing people and teams;

Customer service and/or sales experience is preferred.

Advance ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.
