Wynn Resorts' Design & Development division is seeking a brilliant Buyer to lead, maintain and promote exceptional integrity and reputation of the Construction Purchasing department.  Collaborating closely and supporting the bidding process with the project support team.PROJECT DEVELOPMENTFamiliarity with bid lists for specified commodities based on experience and manufacturing methods.Opportunity to visit factories to ensure the quality of goods and the efficiency of the manufacturing process.Reliable and familiar knowledge of the project status including budget, deliveries, and schedule.Generally understands the complete flow of the purchasing process and how each function relates.PROJECT ADMINISTRATIONAttend various meetings for projects and departmental updates.Negotiate pricing and recommend selected vendors best suited for the order.Independently prepare purchase orders and change orders with appropriate documentation and detail.Expedite orders placed by the project team to ensure the schedule and budget restraints are being followed, including proper documentation and updating of the expediting reports.Effectively communicate information related to purchase orders to vendors and other members of the project team.Manage vendor submittals with Interiors and research product efficiencies.Execute tasks assigned by senior members of the project team in an efficient and timely manner.Ability to identify and resolve specification shortfalls and/or manufacturing issues.Ability to manage 1-2 mid-level projects independently.PROJECT COMPLETIONInspect goods to maintain the high standards necessary for a 5-star property.Independently manage onsite project installation by interfacing with construction management and contractors.Participates and contributes to project "close out" procedures.STAFFINGSupervises project support staff of 1-2 members including daily direction of tasks, training, and workload management.
