Maxan Jazz Club and Sushi Restaurant, a vibrant venue with Live Bands 5 nights a week, is looking for an energetic and personable individual to join our team as a Bartender, Host, and Server. This is the perfect side gig for someone who already has a day job but wants to make some extra cash in the evenings and weekends. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can wear multiple hats with a great attitude!
About the Position:
Schedule:
Bartender: Mondays 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM and on-call Sundays 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Host: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Server: On high-volume nights, you may be required to serve.
This position requires a flexible, fun-loving person who can seamlessly switch between roles while keeping things running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For:
Personality: We're seeking someone with a great sense of humor, engaging personality, and the ability to connect with guests. Good looks and confidence behind the bar don’t hurt either!
Bartending Experience: You must be familiar with mixing classic cocktails and creating new ones on the fly. Experience is key, but your attitude and passion for the craft are just as important. Height preferred to reach top-shelf bottles and interact easily across the bar.
Hosting: If you’ve worked with reservation systems (like Yelp Guest Manager), that's a plus! If not, as long as you’re computer-savvy and eager to learn, we can teach you.
Serving: Previous experience with POS systems (like TOAST) is essential. You'll need to take orders, serve food, and handle payment transactions smoothly and efficiently.
Other Requirements:
A Nevada Health Card is a must.
US Employment Authorization and Fluent English are required.
