NOW HIRING DENTAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST

JOB SUMMARY:

The Receptionist contributes to the dental offices continued success by passionately following the company’s

business model; promoting the company culture, mission and values. This Job Description identifies the major

responsibilities of this position. It does not include all aspects of this position such as potential duties assigned by

the Management and requirements for flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Comply with OSHA laws and safety guidelines.

Ensure review and completion of documentation, including but not limited to: accurate and

current medical history, medical alerts, and signed Consent forms.

Exercise excellent customer service while interacting with patients both over the phone and in

person.

Check in all patients and complete patient registration under the direction of the Office

Manager.

Schedule patient appointments within operational standards.

Confirm patient appointments prior to the patients’ appointments.

Complete insurance verifications prior to all (general and specialty) patients’ visits to

determine coverage and benefit limits and link insurance in the system.

Ensure pre-authorizations are received prior to appointments, if required.

Complete check out process with each patient.

File patient charts.

Participate in morning huddle, chart review and all routine office meetings as necessary.

Participate in monthly checklist activities as assigned.

Keep front desk and reception area clean and neat.

Adhere to uniform attire and basic personal hygiene standards per Company policy.

Attend continuing education and training seminars asscheduled.

Understand and abide by HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.

All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Basic clerical and administrative skills.

2. Excellent customer service skills with professional and courteous phone etiquette.

3. Basic knowledge of insurance and dental terminology helpful.

4. Working knowledge of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word required; knowledge of Microsoft Excel

preferred.

5. Experience with dental software preferred.

6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

7. Ability to work well with others

8. Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly
