We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to support our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) office with a primary focus on CPAP and BiPAP therapy. The RT will be responsible for patient education, mask fitting, device setup, compliance monitoring, and ongoing therapy support in accordance with physician prescriptions and payer requirements (including Medicare).
Patient Care & Therapy Setup
Set up CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP devices according to physician prescriptions
Perform mask fitting (nasal, full-face, nasal pillows) and ensure patient comfort
Educate patients on proper device use, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Explain therapy expectations, compliance requirements, and follow-up schedules
Clinical Documentation & Compliance
Document setup, education, and patient interactions in the patient record
Review and monitor compliance data (e.g., AirView, Luna, DreamMapper, etc.)
Identify non-compliance issues and provide coaching and solutions
Assist with Medicare and insurance compliance requirements (70% usage rule, follow-ups)
