Main Responsibilities:
Assist crew leaders on properly maintaining the health and care of the trees on clients’ properties per work orders by
following industry’s guidelines and standards. Also, listed below:
Must understand and comprehend instructions given by the crew leaders and management team.
Communicate with team members as necessary
Must be able to perform the tasks given by the crew leader such as:
-Pruning and removal of trees
-Stump Grinding
-Cabling and bracing
Identify and recognize safety hazards on trees before ascending (climbing) any tree(s) and/or any other tree-
related issues.
Requirements
Must know and recognize tree climbing knots and hitches for climbing and lowering tree branches or fronds
Must be able to identify all climbing gear items and know what they are used for
Must inspect and properly store climbing gear and equipment
Must have or continue to achieve tree identification skills
Recognize disease and insect issues on trees
Help assist new hires as needed
Help keep equipment clean and in good working order.
Previous work experience as an arborist climber preferred
Ability to lift at least 50lbs or more on a daily basis
Ability to walk, climb, stand, kneel and stoop
Have good balance and depth perception
Ability to work outside for 8 hours or more in the different weather conditions
Must have a positive attitude
