Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled person interested in assisting in the deconstruction of an aviation simulator. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the systematic disassembly of a flight simulator, ensuring that all components are carefully removed, documented, and stored for future use or disposal. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electronic systems, as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Deconstruction: Methodically assist in the disassembly of a flight simulator, including hardware, software, and electronic components, following established protocols.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all components removed, including serial numbers, condition, and any relevant specifications.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during the deconstruction process to ensure a safe working environment.

Inventory Management: Organize and label all components for easy identification and retrieval and assist in managing inventory for future projects.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and technical teams to provide insights into the simulator’s components and systems.

Reporting: Provide regular updates on progress and any challenges encountered during the deconstruction process.

Work Environment:

This position may require working in a workshop or simulation environment, with exposure to machinery and electronic components.

This position will be 60 hours/ week from May 1 to June 30.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen required

Veteran is highly desirable

Previous experience in deconstruction, assembly, or maintenance of complex machinery or electronic systems is highly desirable.

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment; familiarity with 3D flight simulators or similar technology is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the deconstruction process.

Meticulous approach to work, ensuring that all components are handled with care and properly documented.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical degree or certification in a related field (e.g., engineering, electronics) is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.

Estimated hourly pay rate will be $50/HR
