Big Rig Manufacturing is currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Production Line Operation Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Production Line Operation Assistant is responsible for the retrieval, organization, and delivery of parts to job foremen and other staff as needed. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all Buses are supplied with the necessary parts in a timely manner to maintain workflow and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve parts from inventory or suppliers as directed by job foremen.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
- Deliver parts to job sites or designated areas promptly and accurately.
- Assist in the tracking and documentation of parts usage and inventory levels.
- Communicate effectively with job foremen, suppliers, and other team members regarding parts availability and delivery timelines.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to reorder parts as necessary.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Kitting Accuracy: allowing manufacturers to accurately track inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a parts technician, warehouse, or inventory role preferred.
- Strong understanding of parts and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computers and basic software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory management systems).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to parts handling and delivery.
Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm
