Entry-Level Legal Administrative Assistant (Personal Injury)

We are a fast-paced trial firm seeking to hire an entry level Legal Assistant. Prior personal injury law firm experience is a plus but not required. Must be willing to work as part of a team, multitask, detail oriented, highly motivated, proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Answer and route incoming calls; professionally greet and assist clients and visitors.

2. Open, organize, and maintain client files (both physical and electronic).

3. Schedule client meetings, medical appointments, depositions, and other case-related events.

4. Draft, edit, and format legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery requests.

5. Request and track medical records, bills, police reports, and insurance information.

6. Maintain case calendars and monitor important deadlines.

7. Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other legal professionals.

8. Perform general clerical duties such as scanning, copying, mailing, data entry, and filing.

9. Provide administrative support to the litigation paralegal and attorney throughout the case process.

Qualifications:

1. Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute (WPM) is required. A typing test may be required during the interview process.

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

5. Professional demeanor with attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

6. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Preferred (Not Required):

1. Basic understanding of personal injury law or legal procedures.

2. Familiarity with Filevine (legal case management software).
