We are a business that has a regular event at First Friday Las Vegas, this is a monthly community event that celebrates culture, art, music, and creativity. We are seeking a skilled and reliable AV Technician to join our team to ensure seamless audio-visual experiences for performers, speakers, and attendees.
We have Karaoke, Dance Competition, MC, DJ and Multiple Screen TVs and Projectors.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AV Technician responsible for setting up, maintaining, and dismantling AV equipment during the First Friday Las Vegas events. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of various audio-visual systems, ensuring high-quality experiences throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities:
● Load Up, Set Up & Tear Down:
○ Transport, assemble, and dismantle AV equipment, including speakers, microphones, projectors, LED screens, lighting systems, and soundboards.
○Ensure all equipment is safely and properly connected and positioned before the event starts.
○ Unload and Set Up, Tents, Dance Floor, Chairs and other Equipment that is not AV
● Technical Operation & Maintenance:
○ Operate AV systems during events, ensuring optimal audio and visual quality.
○Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to avoid disruptions.
○ Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as necessary.
● Coordination & Collaboration:
○ Work closely with event coordinators, performers, and speakers to meet their specific AV needs.
○ Provide guidance on which equipment works best together to achieve desired outcomes.
● Safety & Quality Assurance:
○ Ensure all equipment is safely set up, operated, and dismantled according to industry standards.
○ Perform equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure reliability.
Requirements:
● Experience: At least 3 year of experience in AV setup and operation (live events preferred).
● Technical Knowledge: Proficient with sound systems, lighting rigs, projectors, screens, microphones, and other AV equipment.
● Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
● Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
● Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with event staff and performers.
● Availability: Must be available to work weekends, nights, and extended shifts, particularly during First Friday Las Vegas events (first Friday of each month).
Preferred Qualifications:
● Certification in Audio-Visual Technology or related field.
● Familiarity with live sound mixing, video production, or lighting design.
