THE 10 COMMANDMENTS

Do's for Successful Trade Show Host

Know Your Role: Your main role is to invite people to come into our booth and look at our products. You will also be passing out catalog to people whose badge says “Buyer,” (or similar), not badges that say exhibitors! Within an hour after listening to us talk to people, you’ll get an idea of what to say. Using your phone, you’ll be using software to capture buyer’s email addresses. The more you get the bigger your bonus. You’ll also get a bonus for allowing us to take and use pictures of you wearing our eyewear that will appear on our website, FaceBook, Instagram, etc.

Engage with Attendees: Actively engage with visitors. Greet them with a smile, make eye contact, and be approachable. Your bonus is based on

punctuality, attitude, helpfulness and email addresses acquired.

Dress Appropriately: Please dress “business casual.” You don’t have to wear heals, be comfortable as you’ll be standing the whole time. Professional and clean attire is essential.

Be Professional: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. This includes being punctual, respectful, and courteous.

Stay Energetic: Keep your energy levels high throughout the event. This helps in maintaining a positive and inviting atmosphere.

Know the Schedule: Be aware of your schedule, don’t arrive late or try to leave early.

Use Positive Body Language: Maintain good posture, smile, and use open gestures to appear welcoming and friendly.

Communicate Clearly: Speak clearly and confidently. Ensure you can convey key messages and information effectively.

Be Adaptable: Be prepared to handle unexpected situations with grace. Flexibility is key in managing different scenarios.

Follow Up: Collect contact information from interested attendees and ensure it is passed on to the relevant team members for follow-up.
