Job Description
Our custom fabrication company needs an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. Weâre looking for a hardworking energetic professional who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. AMC is seeking full-time candidates for the day shift, Monday thru Friday 6:45 am -3:30 pm with overtime as needed
Key Skills and Competencies:
Minimum of three (3) years experience operating CNC machines & Minimum 3 years experience directly related to CNC programming
Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators & tape measures
Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance & dimensions
Working knowledge of use of computer software
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts & changing work schedules
Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material fabrication
Proficient in Mastercam
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Interpret drawings to write programs for CNC machines that include proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds in order to generate quality parts in accordance with production standards
Create setup sheets based on tooling selection criteria
Monitor and verify the accuracy of each jobâs initial set-up and final outcome
Revise programs and documentation based engineering changes
Maintain library of programs
Studies & interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions & tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations & setup requirements to maximize efficiencies
Assists in the solution of complex plant operating problems and/or cost reduction projects
May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Compensation:Hourly Rate Depends on Experience
