Title: Office Assistant

Organization: Iron Sharpens Iron Mentoring, Inc

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Position Type: Part-time- 27 hours, weekends

Salary: $16-18.90 hourly

Overview:

Our nonprofit youth mentoring agency seeks a reliable and organized individual to join our team as an Office Assistant. The Office Assistant will provide administrative support to the agency staff, maintain office operations, and assist in coordinating mentoring programs and activities. This position is crucial to the smooth functioning of our agency and plays a vital role in supporting the youth we serve.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide general administrative support, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing correspondence

2. Assist in maintaining organizational and programmatic files and documentation

3. Help in coordinating and scheduling mentoring activities, events, and meetings

4. Assist in data entry, record-keeping, enrollment, and maintaining databases

5. Support agency staff in preparing materials, reports, and presentations

6. Assist in managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities

7. Provide support in the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers and mentors

8. Assist in organizing and promoting agency events and fundraisers

9. Assist in communicating with program participants, parents, and volunteers

10. Other administrative tasks as assigned by agency leadership

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Previous experience in an office environment or administrative role

3. Strong organizational and time management skills

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer skills

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

7. Attention to detail and accuracy in work

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

9. Commitment to the mission and values of the agency

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working in a nonprofit or youth-focused organization

2. Knowledge of database management and record-keeping systems

3. Experience in event planning and coordination

4. Bilingual( English & Spanish) or multilingual skills
