We are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the 89129 zip code.
Applicants must be detail-oriented, organized, and work well independently. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support for the Church Rector, answer phones, and provide efficient office operations.
Duties include:
- Utilize computer software for data entry and record keeping
- Type and edit weekly church bulletin
- Type and send out monthly church and diocesan newsletter
- Type and proofread various documents with precision
- Answer phones
- Support general office functions to maintain a well-organized workspace
Required Skills:
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suites including Word, Outlook (email and Calendar), Excel,
PowerPoint and Publisher; experience with Constant Contact
- Update church online calendar
- Demonstrate professionalism in all communications – appropriately triage phone calls and email
- Be punctual, reliable, conscientious
- Familiarity with general office procedures
- Ability to work well with others – be polite, respectful, kind
- Exceptional organizational skills; exceptional time management skills; quick learner; self-starter
