Job Responsibilities
As a dispatcher, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will include:
Scheduling and Dispatching:
Assign service calls to technicians based on location, skillset, and workload.
Optimize routes to minimize travel time and increase efficiency.
Monitor technicians’ progress and adjust schedules as needed.
Customer Communication:
Answer incoming service requests via phone or email.
Confirm and update customers on appointment times, delays, or changes.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service follow-ups professionally.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician logs, and customer interactions in the dispatch system.
Ensure all completed service tickets are properly documented and invoiced.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with technicians and office staff to address scheduling conflicts and provide support.
Assist in planning and improving department workflows.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years of dispatching or customer service experience, preferably in HVAC/plumbing or home services.
Skills:
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in dispatching software (e.g., ServiceTitan, FieldEdge) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean background check and drug screening.
Typing speed of 30–40 words per minute.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
