Hotel Management Team Member

The Sterling Gardens Hotel is currently taking applications for a Property Management Team Member to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their hotel experience.

The successful candidate must be a team player who has a positive attitude, is reliable and task oriented. Must be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

In this position, you will direct the day-to-day operations and activities at your assigned location. Your duties will include managing personnel, collecting payments, monitoring budgets, and evaluating hotel performance.

To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed-oriented with proven hospitality or management work experience. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual is a huge plus.

Requirements:

-A minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel/motel management or large apartment management.

-Strong understanding of hotel/motel management best practices and data entry software.

-Excel, word and computer basic knowledge is a must.

-Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

-Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.

-Work experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar role

-Experience with hotel PMS system a plus

-Customer service attitude and ability to build rapport with guests

-Strong organizational skills

-Excellent communication and organizational skill

-must have reliable transportation

-Drug Free: must be able to pass pre-employment drug test

-Criminal Background check: we will conduct background check

Must be flexible to work any day of the week - Weekends and Holidays included.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee personnel including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance employees.

2. Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service.

3. Collect daily deposits and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses.

4. Resolve issues regarding hotel services, amenities, and policies.

5. Organize activities and assign responsibilities to employees to ensure productivity.

6. Coordinate with external parties including suppliers, and payroll service provider.

7. Evaluate motel performance and ensure compliance with health and safety rules.

8. Partake in financial activities including establishing room rates, setting budgets, and assigning funds to departments.

Compensation

furnished one bedroom apartment with private kitchen and own washer and dryer. All utilities are included, plus salary. Salary is dependent on level of experience.
