Store Associates are responsible for bringing the promise of helpfulness to life with every customer while contributing to the overall presentation of the store.
Role, Responsibilities, & Expectations
Help customers find items in the store while following the Customer Interaction Standards to provide the best experience possible for every customer, every time through helpfulness, knowledge, and friendliness.
Contribute to the general operation of the store as it relates to customer assistance, store services, processing transactions, merchandising and order fulfillment for customers as assigned by leadership.
Be knowledgeable and actively participate in training and development activities.
Always maintain a neat personal appearance, wear the company uniform, and your nametag.
Carry and use a radio to communicate with the team (Always Respond, & never change Channel).
Work areas in the store to keep displays stocked, organized and meeting Aisle Maintenance Standards.
Execute assigned tasks with a sense of urgency while paying attention to the details.
Participate in all sales building, promotions, customer service, and team-building activities or initiatives including being an advocate for the ACE Rewards program.
Report all injuries and issues observed to a Store Lead or above when observed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Willing to be Helpful to customers and other members of the team.
Able to follow directions and complete tasks without immediate supervision.
Able to communicate and cooperate professionally with customers and team members.
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
Willing to learn all areas of the store, including training and helping train others.
Ability to work as part of a team and interact with customers of various socioeconomic levels, persons in differing company roles, vendors, guests, and ACE corporate representatives.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements Minimum
Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, twist, and bend to perform job duties.
Move and handle merchandise up to 50 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
