Previous UPS Store experience preferred, but not required
Must be able to work flexible schedule
Part-time position 16-24 or more hours to start, with the possibility of hours more in the near future
Starting pay is $15 per hour (or more, depending on experience)

The Retail Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, Amazon returns, and operating copiers, fax machines, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time and be able to meet and/or exceed sales goals and overall expectations. Must be self-sufficient and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.
Understands and fulfills the needs of walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries
Operates and maintains print and finishing equipment
Completes tasks independently in a quick turn environment
Follows and understands quality guidelines
General cash handling procedures.
Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and putting mail away day for our Mailbox Customers
Other duties and responsibilities assigned as needed.
Boxes and ships products when necessary
Logs in in-coming packages for mailbox customers
Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently
Provides completed documentation for shipping
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
Retail/customer service experience
Good communication and people skills
Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
Excellent packing skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email skills
Outstanding phone skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
Prompt, reliable, and responsible
Able to lift 40+ pounds
Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Strong ability to meet Sales expectations
Willing and able to work a very flexible schedule that may span Monday through Saturday with split days off. We are closed on Sundays
Able to follow and understand quality guidelines
Able to help customers with boxing and packaging their materials
Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
